The Spieker Company was the General Contractor on this state-of-the art 13,700 square foot facility for St. Luke’s Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. With a start date of April 3, 2018 and a completion date of December 3, 2018, the challenge of an incredibly tight timeline, including construction of a building from the ground up, may seem daunting to some construction companies; however, The Spieker Company was able to complete the project both on time and within budget.
The new facilities includes:
- A hybrid operating room that combines an operating room and a cauterization lab. This allows doctors to perform less invasive vascular procedures with the safety of a full-capacity cardiovascular operation room.
- An electrophysiology lab that expands St. Luke’s current range of procedures for cardiac arrhythmia disorders, including cardiac pacemakers and defibrillator implantations.
